Baby Martin's First Time Up In Genting Highlands

Just a short post this morning, to document down in this little space on the world wide web, about Baby Martin's first trip up Genting Highlands. He's now 10 months old, all bubbly and ready to take on Genting's cold weather. I did not snap many photos though, so bear with me.

In fact, when Baby Martin was a month old, we actually had the opportunity to bring him up to Genting Highlands, but decided against it due to his age. Fast forward 9 months later, now we were sure he is ready to face the crowd and cold weather up there. Decked in blue that day, I would think he is pretty comfortable in the baby jacket we tucked him in with.

It was a day to mingle with my in-laws as they travelled all the way up there from Penang. My journey up with Janice and baby was much shorter, taking roughly 40 minutes to reach. The wonderful cold air greeted us the moment we walked out the car upon arrival. Baby Martin was excited, looking around as the sight and sound of Genting presented itself to him.

Everywhere we went, Baby Martin's eyes would dart to the left and right taking in everything. I'm sure he is learning and picking up new stuff all the time. I was pretty glad I took the baby stroller along, which meant I did not have to carry him all the time. Securely tucked in, we went about around Genting Highlands enjoying all they have to offer.

Again, forgive me for the lack of photos, as I was too tied up entertaining this active baby of mine. As he grows older, baby Martin does get stronger, squirming and kicking around in my arms if he is excited to grab something near him. At a weight of close to 10kg, I always tell Janice, "Hey! It's like we're carrying around a bag of rice!"

When he's bored he does this, something which I refrain him from doing as it's not very clean

So there you have it, Baby Martin's first time up Genting Highlands. I'm not sure if he will remember this when he grows up, but for sure we will bring him up a lot more times in the future as this spot is not too far from where we're staying in KL.

  10. Housing placed too close to tall trees or in yards that are too enclosed. Houses not painted white. White houses seem to attract Martins best. If any other species of birds are allowed to settle into a martin house before martins at unestablished sites, those houses will rarely attract nesting martins. the best ceramic cookware
