MILO Fuel For Champions Launch @ National Aquatic Centre Bukit Jalil

So there I was at the National Aquatic Centre Bukit Jalil earlier today to witness the launching of MILO's Fuel For Champions campaign. It was a rather cooling day with the rain and all, media and public all gathered at the aquatic centre ready to see the launch. I was pretty hyped up to check out the precedings.

In its effort to drive the true value of sports and to continuously develop young athletes as champions of the nation, MILO and the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) gathered to launch the campaign today in a ceremony officiated by YB Encik Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia.

Arriving at the National Aquatic Centre in Bukit Jalil for the first time, I did appreciate the fact this spot was where world standard aquatic events were held during the past SEA games. They had these olympic size swimming pools, and diving facilities. The free-flow of MILO given out were an added perk for us to settle down while waiting for the official launch.

During the launch at Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex, National Aquatic Center, YB Encik Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia applauded MILO's commitment together with the Olympic Council of Malaysia in their drive to shape Malaysia's youth sporting landscape.

YB Encik Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia gave a rather good speech during the launch, reiterating his stand supporting MILO in its role in Malaysia's sporting arena. "The commitment from Milo in driving the nation's young athletes to greater heights is truly inspirational," Khairy further added.

We were brought up to speed on the whole campaign's aim. MILO's Fuel For Champions campaign is more than just a one-time sponsorship. It aims to empower and energize young sport talents to strive for success in the early stages of their lives as well as to inspire parents to encourage their children to participate in sports from young.

The SEA Games is a Malaysian athlete's introduction to the international sporting arena. Aligned with the government and Olympic Council of Malaysia's objectives, MILO has always been at the start of developing a nurturing young talents, guiding them to success.

After the launch by the VIPs, we were treated to a short but entertaining synchronized swimming performance. Four lovely young ladies dived into the pool amidst catchy music to show off their moves. I must say, being the first time I caught this type of performance other than watching it on TV, it was a rather refreshing experience.

Also present at the launch were Yong Shin Min (National Basketball Team), S. Kannanthasan (National Relay Runner), Hakimi Ismail (National Long Jump Athlete) and Khoo Chai Lin (National Swimmer) who will be representing Malaysia in the 27th SEA Games in Myammar.

Overall, it was a successful launch, and I was glad to be a part of the event. Through the MILO Fuel for Champions campaign and as the official Nutritious Chocolate Malt beverage of the Malaysian Contingent for the 27th SEA Games in Myanmar, MILO calls upon the nation to support the Malaysian contingent as they strive to make Malaysia proud.
