Winner Aluminium Double Sided "Tanglepruf" Ladder Review

Speaking of ladders, every household has to have one of these. Unlike any other normal household I have a ladder as well, albeit a rather short one. A couple of weeks back, I was approached to check out this Winner Aluminium Double Sided "Tanglepruf" Ladder which can be ordered online and sent direct to the house for a small fee.

It was a rather simple process of ordering the ladder online. All I had to do was to head to their website at Ladder.my and a couple of clicks later, the transaction went through. The ladder was delivered to my doorstep within a week.

I needed a longer ladder, one which will enable me to climb up to those hard to reach spots on the ceiling, be it to change the lighting, to clean up the pipes, or to check on the rooftop water tank. So what's special and unique about this Winner Aluminium Double Sided "Tanglepruf" Ladder of mine? Well, read on then.

One of the more obvious innovative design of this Winner Ladder was their "Tanglepruf" hinge. All locally made stepladders locate the ladder hinge on the outside of the ladder body, making it very prone to damage through entanglement with other objects. It is a very common failure on a lot of stepladders.

A ladder with a damaged hinge is dangerous to use for obvious reasons. The Winner Ladder was redesigned to locate it on the inside, making it almost impossible to be damaged accidentally. This feature is only found on a handful of imported ladders. Check out the picture below to see exactly how this innovation works.

Another common failure is the deformation of the ladder steps, usually the longer ones at the bottom. Regular ladder steps are the in ‘n’ shaped configuration. The Winner Ladder has a box configuration which makes their steps highly resistant to deformation, it is much, much stronger than the regular steps. This step is also what is found on heavy duty fiberglass stepladders widely used in industrial applications.

Another nifty feature of my all-new Winner ladder was the fact that they have this useful "tool tray" at the top. Now that's really useful to place those small screws, or tools needed. Check it out below.

All of these value-added features were pretty unique to me, with a price advantage; the double-sided ladders selling at regular market rate. Heavy duty stepladders are selling at about twice the price but these are often heavier due to thicker profiles and are not commonly used even among the light trade industry due to price and weight.

From now until 30th September 2013, you can get a 10% discount for ladders ordered via this link. (http://ladder.my/buy-online/aluminium-ladder/double-sided/wds). Just remember to key in the discount code "10PERCENT" to enjoy this special deal.
