Red Box and Green Box Karaoke Anniversary Promotion Launch Event

Red Box, the name always comes up whenever any of my friends have plans to go "croak" their lungs out. The karaoke spot is no stranger to us. A couple of days back, I was invited to join in Red Box and Green Box's Karaoke Anniversary Promotion launch event, which I attended just because I heard there was going to be this new food menu being introduced.

One of the highlights of this campaign is the introduction of "World Buffet", where Red Box together with Lee Kum Kee and Unilever Food Solutions have come up with this brilliant idea to showcase cuisine from countries around the world. Expect cuisines from Italy, Korea, Indonesia, Mexico, Brazil and many more when entering the buffet line this period.

The campaign was launched by Celebrity Chef Bruce Lim, who is the chef consultant to Lee Kum Kee. Often seen on Asian Food Channel, he was present at the event to showcase his signature dishes along with local and foreign celebrities.

The launch was graced by VIPs, among them foreign artiste Kim Jin Sung (JS) from Korea, local artistes, Orange, Da.Mon.Ster, Kah Jun and Ezzaty Abdullah. It was pretty entertaining to watch these artistes cook alongside Chef Bruce Lim, while we mere mortals looked on.

While waiting for dinner to be served, I found an interesting corner resembling a game I used to play while young. It was Red Box's "Duck Fishing" game, being part of Red Box and Green Box Karaoke's 10th anniversary promotion. Successful visitors have a chance to bring home prizes worth up to RM100k!

It wasn't long before we were brought to the buffet line to enjoy the "World Buffet". After much anticipation, I was pretty hyped up about tasting recipes from all over the world. We had these cute little flags on each dish depicting the country the food originates from.

The variety in the World Buffet spread was quite large, some of which I took the liberty to snap some photos of, and share here. Keep in mine throughout the promotion period from now until 31st October 2013, one gets to enjoy all these enjoying the karaoke at Red Box and Green Box.

Call me old fashioned, but I was inclined to really enjoy the Teow Chew Duck served. It had a really fragrant smell to it, with the duck meat being tender and tasty. The Honey Chilli Garlic Beef however didn't quite sing to me, as it felt like the usual fare we have in any outside "mamak" stall.

The Shahlik Chicken, recipe originating from Russia was really tasty. It had a taste not unlike the usual kebab, but with way more flavour to it. I just had to have second fillings for the Shahlik Chicken. The Crispy Tilapia with Honey Garlic wasn't bad too, as one could taste the sweetness of the meat indicating its freshness.

The small plates of appetizers were nice to have too, perfect to accompany any singing sessions, notably the sushis and the crispy potatoes. Even though the Lamb Shank Osso Buco looked good, it didn't go down too well with my palette, probably due to the toughness of the lamb. Overall, it was nice having so many varieties at the usual Red Box and Green Box buffet spread.

  2. Did you sing? I prefer singing in an open lounge to a captive audience - not in boxes, thank you very much.

  9. Now a day, Replica Hermes handbags has become too good to be spotted out. Those tradition tools such as looking at tag font, tag shape, serial numbers font had been out dated. Because I have seen a couple of fake Replica Handbags that have the tag almost exactly the same as an authentic Designer Fack Chanel Handbags (90% similar). And sometimes if you are dealing with a high quality Replica Prada, it is impossible to spot it out as fake without a personal look and ?a physical feel. ?So today I will show you some additional tools that ?may help you to spot out a fake Replica Louis Vuitton Handbags.
