My Solvil et Titus Eyewear With Crizal Forte UV Essilor Lenses

Way back early this year, I had the opportunity to catch the launch by Essilor’s Crizal Forte UV over at Optical 88 Midvalley Mall. Now these lenses were very technologically advanced by my standards, clear eyeglass lens offering the most advanced protection against damaging UV light. It came with a host of other features which I will be elaborating later on in this post.

The lenses, Crizal Forte UV by Essilor were able to block UV rays from entering the eye from both front and back sides of the lens while maintaining unmatched clarity of vision – up to eight times better than regular UV lenses on the market today. Now that's a piece of fact which I did not appreciate until I had the opportunity to own one.

Crizal Forte UV is the first clear lens on the market to  maximise your eyes protection against dangerous UV aggressions from the front and back surface of the lens, while ensuring the best enduring clarity of vision. Crizal Forte UV protects the eyes from UV rays reflected off the back surface of the lens and also protects against the five enemies of clear vision, shown below.

What literally caught my eye about the Crizal Forte UV lenses were the fact that they actually protect against the five elements pictured above. I love the part where the glasses had these scratch resistance properties on top of the UV protection. Anyway, after the launch, I was back there again to replace my 4 year old spectacles. (Yes, I rarely change my spectacles).

My visit to Optical 88 in Midvalley Megamall was relatively quick, with the bulk of my time there being spent on choosing the perfect frame. The outlet offered an extensive range of brands. One particular brand, Solvil et Titus stood out to me, probably due to it's shiny elements.

My decision next was really a change for me. On top of getting the awesome Crizal Forte UV Essilor Lenses, I went for a slightly retro look, the frame with a slightly thick black frame. I guess it fitted me quite well due to my rather round, large face. Yes, I have a very big face, hence the need for a bigger framed glasses.

Hey, that's me a couple of months back when my hair was short, with the new spectacles!

Do look out for a couple more posts from me as I share more on my experiences with my new spectacles. Seeing is believing, as the lenses on my new baby was so clear I felt giddy from the sharpness. I actually blame it on the numerous scratches on my previous spectacles. Now don't mind me, as I continue drafting other blog posts while wearing my new Solvil et Titus Eyewear With Crizal Forte UV Essilor Lenses.
