Baby Martin's Injection Day @ Klinik Jawi

So there I was this afternoon over at the wifey Janice's place to bring Baby Martin for his vaccination injections. Driving a short distance to the neighborhood family doctor over at Klinik Jawi, it wasn't my first time bringing him there. However this will be the first time I'm sort of documenting it as a post on Isaactan.net.

Now I'm really new in all this immunization or baby vaccination thing, but here's a shot below on the scheduled injections from birth until 18 months. Currently Baby Martin is 5 months old, which should be the DTaP/DT, Hib, IPV (3rd dose) injection thingy. Please do not ask me to explain the injections, as I am still learning to differentiate it myself.

From Baby Martin's Immunization Record Book, it was pretty interesting to see his weight increase being recorded since birth until now, five months later. At 8kg and 65.5cm, Baby Martin should be just about right I think, not too overweight, nor underweight.

It wasn't long before we were ushered into the doctor's room. Baby Martin was patient, and did not cry throughout the process, maybe a slight yelp immediately after the jab. It was a pretty smooth injection process from what I observed, with the doctor giving the jab in his buttock.

Oh no, here comes the needle!

So that's that, his 5th month injection done, now to wait for next month's scheduled appointment. Watch out for this space, as I read more into the various immunization a baby has to go through, and share it. As for now, I'm just a newbie in terms of taking care of Baby Martin.

  8. Hope he dont have fever from the jab.

Later ask your doctor about pneumococcal vaccine ...it's to protect him from meningitis and ear infections. It's a bit pricey but worth it la coz meningitis is dangerous
