Motherhood Expo Fair 2013 KLCC Convention Centre

How time flies. The last baby fair which I went to at this same KLCC Convention Centre was way back in August last year (International Baby Expo (IBEX) 2012 KLCC). That time, baby Martin was still in his mummy's tummy. This time around, I got news of one of the bigger baby fair, the Motherhood Expo 2013 happening 1st to 3rd March at KLCC, so there I was with Janice shopping for some baby and mummy essentials.

Motherhood Expo, Malaysia’s prestigious mother & baby show has quickly become the most highly awaited event in the parenting sector of the year. The event provides a high-traffic environment to explore unprecedented sales opportunities, expand market place exposure and experience one-on-one interaction with thousands of potential consumers.

Reaching the venue just after lunch time, I regretted not parking over at the KLCC convention centre because it was nearer to the expo. Little did I know I would be leaving with huge bags of diapers, mother and baby stuffs. It wasn't a long walk to the KLCC parking though, so no big complain here. The Motherhood Expo 2013 was a huge fair, covering 3 halls, namely Hall 3, 4 and 5. I was just overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of parents, babies, and baby strollers!

Even before I entered the halls, I saw so many parents carrying these purple bags of Whoopee diapers. My first thoughts were that they were probably giving it out free! Unfortunately it wasn't complimentary, but the diapers were really reasonably priced at RM25 per bag. Depending on size, you get either 78pcs for S size, to 50+ for XL sized diapers. We bought 2 huge bags which I had to carry around the whole time.

3 halls wide, carrying some heavy diapers in hand, it was interesting to note that the majority of parents there that afternoon resorted to carrying their babies while using the baby strollers to hold their huge purchases. Yours truly did not bring his baby stroller along, so it was a rather tiring shopping experience today.

So we walked around, stopping long enough at some of the smaller stalls for me to appreciate some of the more unique and innovative baby items. We had virtually everything mothers needed to go through this phase called motherhood.

Of course, with so many products to choose from, the wallet will definately feel some weight being lifted. Here at the Motherhood Expo 2013, majority of the vendors take credit cards on top of cash so fear not, plastic cards shall prevail.

While we're at it, why not get a Lamborghini Aventador for your kid?

It was interesting to see these luxury children cars being sold at one of the booths. From a starting price of RM1500, you lovely kid can drive home a Lamborghini Aventador, Audi and many more cars. Now if only I can fit into one of these cars. Overall, it was a good Motherhood Expo, one which you should go to shop for baby and mummy's essential items. I heard there's another one coming up in a couple of months at Midvalley, so here's looking forward to more shopping!

  5. Whoopee!!! We also love that for my very very old niece, Raisin. She is a dog and she sometimes have problem with her wee wee timing. When she stays home alone, she'll have to go whoopee. This daddy-baby thingy at this expo is really cool. And I guess we'll be seeing a lot of daddy reviews from now on right? Hopefully with lots of Martin's photos too!
