Carlsberg Where's The Party Hard Rock Hotel Penang

So this was my first time attending Carlsberg's exclusive "Where's The Party" event even though it's already at the third year running. Missed the 1st and 2nd installment, but when I heard this round it was going to be out of town, and on the beach my immediate reaction was, "Count Me In!"

Where's the party? It's here at the beautiful beaches of Penang Island!

It was all a big mystery in the weeks leading up to the party last weekend. Everybody was questioning where was the location, but nobody knew exactly where. Even the mechanics on how it is to be held was kept a secret, until the final few days when the party goers and everyone were told to congregate at Queensbay Mall's penang seafront to register before being whisked away to our hotel rooms in preparation of the party!

Oh, did I mention everyone who was invited for Carlsberg's Where's The Party got to get themselves a complimentary room stay over at Penang Batu Feringghi's luxurious seaside hotels. Upon registration at Queensbay Mall's open carpark and parking our cars there, we were promptly whisked away to check-in into our rooms. Such excitement.

Let the night of free flow Carlsberg, kpop, cantopop, and bass-thumping music begin!

Upon checking into our rooms, we were given a nice complimentary goodie bag complete with t-shirt, a bandana, and the ever comfy beach slippers to ease our partying over at the beach behind Hard Rock Hotel Penang. Let the party begin!

It was a good thing that plenty of food were provided to us at the party venue, ranging from murtabak, chicken rice, to fried oyster, popiah and a whole lot more. Partying on a full stomach is always better than an empty one.

Pardon my lack of photos of the perfomances as my poor canon S90 camera could not take many good pictures of the dancers and singers. Throughout the night, we were entertained by these Hong Kong artistes, Korean dancers and the ending was a heart thumping affair from the DJ.

As with most parties of such nature, it was a night of good music and fun as everyone got to drink as much as they want in between partying the night away. It was a good thing too, that our hotel was only a walking distance away, so there won't be any "drunk driving cases", maybe just drunk walking.

As the night went on, it was interesting to just sit back, and start noticing the really romantic beach atmosphere. Some were still partying at the front, while others were already sitting or enjoying the seaside. Unfortunately the sea area was cauldron-ed off probably for our own safety. Drunk people and the sea don't mix very well it seems.

Overall it was a really good night out, probably one of the better parties I've been to this year. The beach and seaside probably played a huge role in making Carlsberg Where's The Party a success. It helped a lot too that we were given hotel rooms to crash in after the party, as there was no way anybody could safely drive back after that much Carlsberg in their blood stream. Now I'm looking forward to another great installment of Where's The Party next year!
